The 30th European Youth Go Championship

6-8 March 2025 , Vatra Dornei, Romania

The European Youth Go Championship is an annual tournament that brings together young Go players from across Europe to compete, learn, and celebrate the game. This year marks the 30th edition of the championship, a significant milestone that brings it full circle to its origins in Romania. The very first edition was held in 1996 at Băile Felix, Romania, making this event not only a prestigious competition but also a homecoming for European youth Go.

To dive deeper into the rich history of the European Youth Go Championship, we invite you to explore a beautiful work of art showcasing the journey of EYGC, from its early days. This remarkable piece was unveiled in Moscow during the 2019 championship.

This year’s championship is proudly organized by Asociația Dorna Go and the local Go club CSM Dorna, in partnership with The Romanian Go Federation and the European Go Federation. Together, we look forward to creating another memorable chapter in EYGC history!

REGISTRATION

Eligibility of players

For determining if a player falls in a certain age category he/she must be born on or after 1st January of the corresponding year of birth for both categories, U18 and U12. All players must be nationals of an EGF-member country.

Registration Fees Announcement

To all participants and parents, please take note of the registration fee structure for the European Youth Go Championship 2025. Registering early ensures your participation is secured at the best possible rate and allows us to organize the tournament efficiently.

Registration Fees:

  • 25 EUR / 125 RON – Early registration, valid until December 31st, 2024
  • 35 EUR / 175 RON – Standard registration, valid until February 15th, 2025
  • 50 EUR / 250 RON – Late registration, available until the tournament day

Please be advised that players who register on-site on the day of the tournament will be required to skip the 1st round due to scheduling constraints.

We strongly encourage all participants to register in advance to secure their place and avoid delays.
