Given that the World Youth Go Championship is rarely held in Europe, an open tournament can capitalize on the heightened interest and excitement surrounding the event. It provides a unique opportunity to raise awareness about Go, inspiring more people to learn and play the game across the continent.

We are happy to welcome you to join the WYGC Open , a tournament that will be held alongside WYGC main event during 26th-27th August 2024. Due to the promotional nature of this event we intend to use the outside garden area for playing, with bad weather back up prepared inside the building. The area will be open to visitors even during rounds which makes this tournament a bit different from what we are used to in the GO world. During this event players are also promoters, showing the beauty of GO to the outside world.
